Camp Child

Helena, MT
For Campers Entering Grades 2nd through 8th

Camp Child is nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, just west of Helena. Donated to the Helena YMCA in 1939 by Harry W. Child and family, Camp Child has provided value-oriented camping activities for thousands of kids and families for over 65 years.

Located on 17 acres of scenic property, Camp Child is a full facility YMCA camp. An on-site lake, wooded hiking paths, Little Blackfoot River running adjacent to Camp, and plenty of traditional Y-camping activities makes Camp Child one of the most beautiful and majestic camps in Montana.

Programs include swimming, diving, canoeing and fishing on the lake. The 7-station ropes course will provide plenty of high and low adventure stations for team-building and individual challenges. The Arts & Crafts Lodge offers campers of all ages a chance to show off their artistic abilities. In addition to the Archery Range there is also a paved basketball court, baseball field, sand volleyball court and a tetherball area to keep campers active throughout the week. All program areas and cabins are supervised by certified and properly trained YMCA staff. Campers will be staying in one of six cabins and will be divided into groups by age and gender. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity. Your child will make memories that will last a life time! Transportation to and from Camp is provided by the YMCA.

Detailed information will be sent to all campers upon registration.
