Flag Football

Thank you for your interest in our Youth Flag Football Program.

Registration is OPEN!

This league is for boys and girls entering grades K- 4.

Fee: $75

Registrations will be accepted through August 20, 2010 with a program fee of $75. However, teams will be compiled as registrations are received and once filled, children will be placed on a team wherever space is available. Sorry, we are experiencing a glitch in our online registration system and working to fix it. In the meantime, please print the registration form here and mail with payment.

Scholarships are available. Please click here for more information and to print an application.

Teams Formed: Teams will primarily be formed by grade level and school when possible. Sorry, but special requests cannot be guaranteed. All children will play all positions.

Practices: Practices will take place at neighborhood parks. Coaches will contact their players regarding practice days and locations following the coaches meeting. Coaches are responsible for deciding on practice times, days and locations.

Games: The season will consist of six games. Each team will play games on Saturdays: September 11, September 18, September 25, October 2, October 16, and October 23.

Equipment: Players should wear t-shirts, shorts or sweats, and tennis shoes or molded, one piece cleats. All players are required to wear a mouth guard. The YMCA will provide one mouth guard for each player. No watches, rings, necklaces or other jewelry will be permitted. No body pads.

Directions to Game Sites:

Belgrade Game Site--Lewis and Clark Park:
The Lewis & Clark Park is located in Belgrade on East Main Street next to the Belgrade Rural Fire Station.

Bozeman Game Site--Bozeman Softball Complex:
Take East Main Street to Highland Boulevard. The Softball Complex is on the left as you head toward the hospital.

YMCA youth sports are for boys and girls and organized by your child’s school and grade level. Teams practice once or twice a week at local parks. Coaches will contact families about practice days, times and locations after the coaches meeting.

Coaches are needed – volunteer today!

Coaches Meeting: Thursday, August 26, 2010. Time and location TBD. Rosters and schedules will be distributed to coaches at this time. Coaches will receive training and mentors are available for rookie coaches.

YMCA sports programs are designed to help young people develop character. We want to help them learn to CARE about others, to be HONEST, to show RESPECT, and to be RESPONSIBLE.

Payment Policy

Payment Policy-Payment in full is required before participation in program (practice and games). Our purpose is to provide the best quality programs for the most affordable price, based on adequate enrollment, therefore NO REFUNDS on program fees will be issued. A credit (MINUS A $5.00 ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGE) may be considered after a participant withdraws IN WRITING prior to the first day of the session, or prior to the coaches meeting in the case of youth sports. After the session/program begins there will be no credit issued for any reason. DEPOSITS are not refunded or credited. Medical reasons for withdrawal will be reviewed on an individual basis.
