From strategic planning to daily operations, we are committed to expanding opportunities, fostering connections, and addressing the growing needs of the Gallatin Valley. Dana Toscano Lasher

Spending every summer in Montana from age 4, I loved everything about Montana, especially the Gallatin Valley. She had successful marketing career working for companies, Coca-Cola USA, Unilever, and BMG Entertainment.

Darren Strauch
Vice President, Youth Development
Laurel, Montana
Montana native residing in the Gallatin Valley and or almost 25 years. He concluded a 25-year career in K-12 education in June 2023, most recently serving as the Superintendent of Monforton School District in Four Corners.

Leah Weaver
Senior Director, Youth & Family
Bozeman, Montana
Leah Weaver grew up with her family skiing, hiking, camping and riding dirt bikes in Bozeman. Leah found her passion in ski racing for the Bridger Ski Team. She spent 10 plus years directing the Bridger Ski Foundation.

Emily Janis
Director, Health & Wellness
Long Island, New York
Prior to joining the Y team in Bozeman, Emily held positions as the Asst. Athletic Director and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Agnes-Irwin School, Exercise Physiologist at a Zarett Fitness and Rehab, and Field Hockey Coach at Lafayette College.

Sherry Lawson
Director, Healthy Learning Academy
Hamilton, Montana
Sherry is no stranger to working with children, having spent most of her last 18 years in early child care settings, and in various positions. She is excited to be here and help support the staff, but more importantly their work in meeting the needs of each child and family.

Linda Bell
Director, Membership & Facilities
Chicago, Illinois
She received degrees in Early Childhood Education and Film Photography, which led to her owning and operating a home daycare and successful Photography Studio for many years. When she made her way to Montana in 2021, she sought out and landed at the GV YMCA.

Macy Seadeek
Director, Sports & Recreation
Williston, North Dakota
After graduating from Williston State College with a degree in Sports & Recreation Management, Macy moved to Montana to live and work in a location with year-round recreation. She is an experienced coach, having coached multiple sports.

Hannah Mallard
Program Manager, Youth Development
Bufford, Georgia
A Montana State University graduate from Georgia. Hannah joined the Y in 2020 as a Camp Counselor, and has been involved in child care programs ever since. She held several other positions, such as the Teen Camp Site Coordinator and After School Coordinator.

April Moore
Development Manager, Grants & Foundations
Anderson, South Carolina
With a passion for community impact and a talent for crafting compelling grant proposals, April plays a crucial role in helping the GV YMCA secure vital funding for our programs. Her expertise and commitment drive our mission forward, enabling us to strengthen the area.

Desiree Heiskell
Site Coordinator, Healthy Learning Academy
Long Island, New York
With passion for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, Desiree leads her team in providing quality education and care to the children in the program. Her commitment to ensuring each child’s growth and well-being is evident in her approach.

Bozeman
The Greeter
Spartanburg, South Carolina
Bozeman is a service dog and the unofficial Welcome Wagon of the GV YMCA. He works hard to make sure no snack goes uneaten, and everyone is having a good day. You may see him trotting around the Y, looking for some treats and pets!
