Youth After School

Research shows that kids who participate in after-school programs are more successful in academics are healthier, and more often maintain positive behaviors. In the YMCA After School Program, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to develop at their own unique rate by encouraging skill development and providing leadership opportunities. We use a balanced curriculum with opportunities for character development,  STEM activities, arts and humanities, community service projects and physical activity. It is a structured program with dedicated time for kids to start homework, engage in physical activities and games and enjoy a snack with friends.

Each day, students can choose different activities that they are interested in, such as cooking, science, arts & crafts, journaling, sports or backyard games. Students are split into groups according to age and participate in at least 30-minutes of physical activity, homework time and/or reading along with an abundance of fun activities geared towards exploration, imagination, and learning.

**NEW THIS YEAR- Parents can register for the days they need each month. We offer monthly programs with the option of 1,2,3,4 or 5 days to meet the needs of busy students. Now you don't need to pay for the days you don't need.**

We ask that students bring a water bottle that they can leave at the Y to use after school.

Buses from both Bozeman, Belgrade & Monforton Schools can deliver kids to the Y after school (excluding early release days).  Parents can pick up as late as 6 pm. Please inquire at your school about what bus heads to the Y after school.
